Malcolm Yancy, owner of Fitness Masters in League City, Texas (
www.fitnessmasters1.net) and his wife Dr. Rochelle Parks-Yancy, Associate Professor of Management at Jesse H. Jones School of Business, Texas Southern University, and author of the book, Equal Work, Unequal Careers: African-Americans in the Workforce, have been married for eleven years.

They share a passion for fitness and helping others to achieve their health and fitness goals.  Below is a view of this accomplished couple’s life together and what it is like to be “In Love with a Bodybuilder”. Dr. Parks-Yancy is a beautiful woman with six pack abs to die for, when asked:

VM:  What first attracted her to her handsome husband she replied:

RP:      What really attracted me was his wit and humor.  He is very insightful as well as thoughtful, innovative and savvy.  I adore those qualities in him.  My husband competed for five years and is now retired from bodybuilding.  However, he still eats, trains and looks like a bodybuilder.  He maintains that great body that was only the icing on the cake when we met.

Recently I spent some time in a life-coaching session with a seasoned gentleman that was distraught over the type of women he had been pursuing. Here are a few quotes of his from our session.

“I find a lot of women in the church [are] very confused when it comes to love and intimacy. I would love your opinion on this, especially when women tell me they are marred to Jesus, or [that they] must check with their pastor first.  The problem is they don't want a man because they say Jesus is enough, and then they want me to, as a friend, help them with their bills; and if they can [even] get a credit card, without being involved sexually or [sharing any] physical touch at all.”

“Women in the church now [are] trying to get all they can get [through preliminaries] without being [really] involved… and I've also noticed that most woman are selfish, self-centered and greedy – claiming they have been hurt by men of their past.    Then when I come along, I want to help make it right with them and I have tended to let them take advantage [of me].”
